The idea of Sit, Stay, N’ Play was conceived one day during the many rainy days in November. I noticed Chace, our Golden Retriever, was becoming antsy and anxious because the rain had kept him cooped up inside for a couple of consecutive days and had not allowed him to expend the copious amount of energy he possessed. Because my wife and I are in the health field we know how important daily exercise is to the overall well being of our lives; and we know the same to be true about our pets. We wanted to provide a clean, safe environment where people and their pets could enjoy activities and exercise all year long. People have their workout facilities, and now so do our favorite companions. Let us be the first to welcome you to Sit, Stay, N’ Play Dog Park.
Katrina has been with Sit, Stay, N’, Play from almost the beginning. She attended ABC for dog obedience instructing and veterinary assisting. She is a self-proclaimed dog-a-holic. As a trainer and manager at the facility she has the opportunity of a life time, to meet and handle dogs of all types, breeds, and from all walks of life. She is the crazy dog lady of the facility, owning 5 dogs and a cat. She is involved in disc dog, and above all loves training dogs with science based methods. She is also the mother of two children, who you will see around the facility from time to time.
Alison is the co-founder of Sit, Stay, N’, Play, and the face you will usually see in the morning when you drop your pooch off for daycare. She is definitely a dog person, but especially loves Golden Retrievers, which is why she owns two. Her two boys are Fitzgerald and Harvey, and they will usually also greet you in the morning with tails wagging.
Allison, or you may hear us refer to her as AB, has been with Sit, Stay, N’, Play since December of 2014. She is the owner of two dogs, Grace, and Bella. Grace is an older Golden Retriever and Bella is an older black Lab. She is also a lover of all animals including her 3 cats, Meg, Henry, and Alex. She has a degree in Economics from the University of Kentucky, but her love of dogs keeps her from putting that to use. Being able to spend all day with her girls makes this job the perfect fit for her.
Meet one of our newest team members, Angela. She comes to us from an entirely different walk of life to pursue her passion…dogs! She is the proud owner of two huskies, and a lover of all dogs.
Megan is a mother of a toddler named Mason, and two four legged children named Merlin and Petey. Merlin is a Great Dane, and Petey is a Boxer mix. Megan loves nature and the outdoors and spending time outside with her dogs and son. She has been with Sit, Stay, N’, Play for over a year.
Jason loves dogs of all shapes and sizes. He found his companion, Roscoe, in the woods as a feral while working for the forest service. He saw him through liver shunt surgery, and is excited to be able to spend his days of work side by side with his buddy. Having previous kennel experience, he knows this is his passion.
Cjay, in addition to working part time for Sit, Stay, N’ Play, is a freelance graphic designer and photographer. She holds an Associate’s Degree in Graphic Design. Her two passions are art and animals. She owns two dogs of her own, Chewie and Pixie, and they are the joys of her life!
